A branch of medicine that specialize in the care of women during pregnancy and childbirth and in the diagnosis and treatment of female reproductive organ. It also specializes in other women’s health issues. Such as menopause hormone problem conception and infertile.

Community Health Nursing

Our department of community health nursing was established with the
aim to provide in-depth knowledge and practice on concepts, philosophy, and principles of community health nursing. The department serves the society based on “prevention is better than cure” with various activities. Department is involved training of post graduate and undergraduate nursing students. Students are trained in the areas of family assessment and community assessment to identify health problems of people living in the community. Students are further trained to make referals for people identified to have problems and to give health education with emphasis on primary prevention.
The department is offering free preventive, curative and rehabilitative
services in rural and urban areas, conducting free medical camps, Mass awareness programme, participating in national health programmes and conducting in-service education programme for health care workers.

Mental Health Nursing

Mental health / Psychiatric nursing is the specialty area of nursing that focus on the promotion of mental health, prevention of mental illness and rehabilitate the client with mental illness. The students to assist in developing expertise and in depth understanding in the field of psychiatric nursing. It will help the students to appreciate the client as a holistic individual and develop skills to function psychiatric nurse specialist it will further enable the students to function as educator, manager and researcher in the field of psychiatric nursing.

Child Health Nursing

This course design to assist students in developing expertise and indepth understanding in the field of pediatric nursing. It will help to students to appreciate the child as a holistic individual and develop skill to function as a neonatal and pediatric nurse specialist.
It will further enable the students to function as a educator, manager and researcher in the field of pediatric nursing.

Medical Surgical Nursing

This course design to assist students in developing expertise and in-depth understanding in the field of Medical Surgical nursing. It will help to students to appreciate the critical care nurse specialist as a holistic individual and develop skill to function as a critical care nurse specialist. It will further enable the students to function as a educator, manager and researcher in the field of Medical Surgical nursing.
